Penelope Bourbon BBQ Glaze

Whether grilling pork tenderloins, chicken, or ribs, try a Penelope BBQ sauce to add a new flair to any dish.

  • .75 Cups of Penelope Bourbon
  • 1/2 white onion, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 2-1/4 cups ketchup
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 teaspoon tabasco sauce

In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the Penelope Bourbon, onion, and garlic. Simmer for 12 minutes. Mix the pepper, salt, ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and tabasco sauce. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer for 20 minutes. Run sauce through a strainer for a smoother sauce (optional). For best results, refrigerate for a day or two, allowing the flavors to blend.
